Apple to Pay Big For New Battery & Screen Technology

Apple to buy chipmaker Renesas Electronics

Apple is in works to purchase a unit of Renesas Electronics, a chipmaker manufacturer in Japan. The closing deal may range near $500 million or exceed the estimate, making it Apple’s largest acquisition to date.

The purchase will introduce advanced technology and hardware to Apple’s products. The smartphone chips in interest will bring enhanced screen sharpness and extend battery life to the iPhone, which are continuously popular requests from current consumers.
