Instant messaging application, WhatsApp, has announced an impressive new record set by the company. Declared publicly on Twitter, the service handled over 64 billion messages, both from incoming and outgoing messages, in one single day.

To put the new 65 billion message record in perspective, there are only 10 billion messages send through Facebook per day, impressive right?
