Google Improves Security to Block NSA Surveillance

Gmail HTTPS encrypted

Google has updated it's Gmail database to use only encrypted HTTPS connection when users log into the site and send emails. This may be a response to the recent NSA controversy, specifically the United States PRISM program, which is permitted to spy on citizen communication.

This comes a few days after Google's co-founder, Sergey Brin, met with government information leaker, Edward Snowden.

By mandating Gmail's connectivity system, every email you send out or receive will be encrypted to maximize user safety and limit any type of surveillance, including government scrutiny.
